When I thought about the history of storytelling and it's oldest form I couldn't help but think of cave-art, so I put together a drawing of an ancient storyteller as he practices his art by a fire.

The logo and brand development serves to present entertainment as a story in itself. Given the client perspective to feature storytelling as paramount, the logo illustrates a storyboard with three polished frames and one in progress (represented by the dotted lines). Three of these dots reappear in the burton.wolfe credit line. Symbolic of the future, of ‘more to come,’ the three dots facilitate the desire to hear more, to turn the page, to keep watching a story unfold on screen. The polished full logo features various gradients of green, an unassuming and eye-catching hue.
First of all this logo is a monogram of B&W (or W&B as you like). That was my starting point. I also wanted to express the creation of a story. As an extra the logo can also be seen as a cheering person, maybe even an angel. To clarify myself I have created an animated version (which comes in handy when you want people to see your logo on the whitescreen), I also added an insight (screenshot) of the creative proces.

Since cave paintings, the earliest form of storytelling, we have evolved to leap beyond the boundaries of new media.
I wanted to give this logo an "arts" feel - almost in a 'woodcut' style. The "Bird and Wolf" wordplay was too hard to resist :)
This simple 1 or 2 color design makes it versatile for garment printing, embroidery or print media.
Other colors or gradients could be added very easily,of course.
It is very malleable - being able to change the hand shadow or the silhouettes, as in the versions shown. The bird shadow could go on LeVar's business card, the wolf on Mark's for example. The silhouettes could be changed depending on the project.(Please note! The child silhouette is for example only! Derivative I created/modified from shutterstock image #5629996. All other content is created solely by me)
I can also visualize many ways in which this could be animated. Perhaps focusing on the hand shadow frame as it moves, and then zooming out to view the entire logo. Time restrictions kept me from making a sample, but view this wonderful Hand Shadow Video to get the idea.
