This is my entry for the Dungeons & Dragons corporate contest. It is also my first entry on Worth1000.com.

The beholder image was provided by the corporate sponsor - Wizards of the Coast(WoTC), the reflection in the eye was a photograph (taken by myself) of three of the miniatures produced by WoTC. The background uses a photo of a glacier taken by myself, and the rest is Photoshop.

Behold Adventure

This scene, fully painted on Photoshop CS, portrays a beholder looking out of (and preparing to fly out of) one of the 4th Edition D&D rulebooks (the other two can be seen on the table, amid dice and a character sheet). This represents the fact that D&D is the gateway to the realms of imagination. I toyed with making this a full-blown ad and adding the tagline "Fun Is In The Game Of The Beholder".

Please View Full.

A lot of hours have gone into the text effect.
The background image I used was made by Kyle Anderson, and is copyrighted. But since he works for Wizards of the Coast, they have the right to use it (I hope).
Please disqualify this entry of the don't have the right to use the image (and therefore neither do I).

This is my low res .jpg version, because my .png would have taken hours to upload.

Beholder Monster

I hope it's no problem, that I created my own beholder with Z-Brush.
